In Memoriam: A year ago, Hurricane Katrina killed blissful illusions by blowing away the walls, which made it impossible for most Americans to realize that there are two Americas, one where the American dream is still possible, and one where it is not a dream deferred, but an improbable one. Hurricane Katrina destroyed the blinders, but did it change America?
