On beauty

Reading this article by India Knight on Carla Bruni makes one realizes how much women can hate one another or at least enjoy another's perceived misery especially when she is perceived as being too beautiful. I'm not quoting it because just doing so makes me dirty and because I have this crazy idea that political wives have the right to be whoever they want to be not objects.
