The statement of the day is from Paul Krugman :
It’s time for President Obama to find his inner F.D.R., and do the same.
Hummm. The fact that people expects Obama to be every great president, but himself, proves that what he is, at the moment, isn't enough. It is what happens when the electorate asserts through its vote that experience doesn't matter and that expects someone, as gifted a politician that s/he is, to grow with/on the job. That said, Obama isn't in trouble precisely because people, even those as learned as Krugman, still expects him to become great or rather to join their side because he is given the benefit of intelligence, 'culture' and reason and of course in Obama's America and the one of Paul Krugman, it is impossible to have those qualities and not to share a certain political ideology. Hope springs eternal.
